Recipe

Front and back cover

Work sideways – back and forth on the circular needle.
On circular needle number 4½ and Belle, cast on 94 (104) stitches. Purl 1 row. The next row is the right side.

Now work patterns 1 to 8.
Size S/M – Belle: start with pattern 1a and work forward.

Size (L/XL) – start with:
Beautiful:
8 rows of pattern 1b, with the pattern shifted to the right.

Alpaca Boucle – Color 2:
Knit 4 rows.

NB: These 12 rows are not part of the pattern – and should not be repeated.

Continue with pattern 1a and onwards.
Both sizes: When patterns 1 to 8 have been worked through a total of 4 times – finish with:

Size S/M
Belle:
8 rows pattern 1a. Bind off on the next row.

Size L/XL:
Beautiful:
8 rows of pattern 1a.

Alpaca Boucle – Color 1:
Knit 4 rows.

Beautiful:
8 rows of pattern 1b. Bind off on the next row.

Knit a similar piece.

Ribbed hem at the top

Now it’s time to work the rib at the top. On the side without yarn ends, pick up approx. 101 (117) stitches with a 3½ mm needle (must be an odd number of stitches). Knit 1 knit, purl 1 purl – end with knit 1 stitch. Knit 3 cm ribbing. On the next row, bind off the middle 43 (49) stitches and place the remaining 29 (34) stitches for each shoulder on stitch holders. You can also choose to bind off all stitches – but first mark the shoulder stitches – 29 (34) stitches.

Work ribbing at the top of the second piece, as mentioned above.

Now knit the front and back shoulders together or sew them together until the neck marker.

Sleeves

Using Belle and needle number 3½, pick up 40 (45) stitches on each side of the “shoulder seam” (count forward in the bound off stitches if necessary) = 80 (90) stitches in total. Change to size 4½ needles and work pattern 1 all the way through the sleeve. Choose either 1a or 1b – so that the offsets are opposite on the front and back pieces.

After 7 rows, decrease 1 stitch on both sides. Repeat the decreases every 2 (1½) cm a total of 20 (22) times = 40 (46) stitches left. Work until the work measures approx. 41 (43) cm – or desired sleeve length before ribbing that measures 2 cm. Change to a 3½ mm needle and work 6 rows in rib – knit 1, purl 1. Bind off in ribbing.

Pick up stitches and knit the second sleeve the same way.

Installation – 1

Weave in all ends. Sew sleeve and side seams together.

Ribbed hem

Using Belle and a 3½ mm circular needle, pick up approx. 182 (210) sts (should be an even number of sts) along the bottom edge and work in rib 1 knit, 1 purl. Work 8 rows and bind off in ribbing on the next row.

Installation – 2

Weave in the last ends.

Have a great time
