Baby Blanket – Beautiful baby blanket with good measurements and matching rompers

I designed this gorgeous baby blanket in the same style/design as my new rompers you can find here. The recipe is super simple, but the result is delicious. There are many baby blankets, but not so many that also come with a matching set of baby pants.

Gauge: 23 stitches in pattern on size 4 needles; the work must be stretched in pattern.

Recipe

Gauge: 21 stitches per 10 cm. stretched in pattern on size 4 needles

Cast on 135 stitches on size 4 needles and work 11 rows in seed stitch (knit 1, purl 1)

The first and last stitches are edge stitches and are knitted on all rows.

Continue in pattern, but still knit the outer 8 stitches in seed stitch

I.e. :

  1. Row: 1 CM, 8 seed stitch, *k9, purl 3* k9, 8 seed stitch, 1 CM
  2. Row: 1 KM, 8 seed stitch *p9 purl, knit 3* purl 9, 8 seed stitch, 1 KM

Repeat these 2 rows until the work measures 79 cm without being stretched. end from the right side.

Work 11 rows in seed stitch and bind off knitwise from the RS.

Once knitted and sewn together, they are moistened and stretched out in the pattern to the finished size.
Or until you think the pattern looks best.
