The floral shawl is inspired by fall and all the beautiful patterns and possibilities in knitwear

The floral shawl was born out of the desire to knit with a variety of patterns, such as bombs, vines and leaves, and four leaf clovers. Enjoy the ride.

Size OneSize – 220 x 65 cm
Materials
Drops Brushed Alpaca Silk
Alpaca Drops
Consumption 5 tacks. Brushed Alpaca 04
5 ngl. Alpaca 2020
1 ngl. Light pink 3720
1 ngl. Dark pink 3770
1 ngl. Gml. Pink 3800
1 ngl. Green 7238
1 ngl. Brown 607
Chopsticks Chopsticks 5.5mm
Gauge 10×10 cm 19 stitches x 21 rows stockinette

Recipe

One strand of Brushed Alpaca silk and 1 strand of Alpaca.
Cast on 336 stitches on 5.5 mm needles and knit a ruffle as follows :
1. Knit 2 stitches together to the end of the row
2. Purl 2 together to end of row.
You should end up with 84 stitches and then work 6 rows of stockinette stitch.
Throughout the entire piece, knit the outermost stitch on both sides, no matter what pattern you may encounter.
6 rows of seed stitch
4 rows in stockinette stitch.
From now on, decrease 1 stitch inside the edge stitch on each side of every 8th row.
Ranke – Double (84m)
Work 16 stitches stockinette stitch, place stitch marker, knit tbl (14 stitches), stitch marker, 24 stockinette stitch, stitch marker, knit tbl (14 stitches), 16 stitches stockinette stitch.
Start on the right side
1. purl 3, (place 2 stitches on the auxiliary needle in front of the work, purl 1, knit 2 from auxiliary needle)purl 4, knit 1, purl 3
Work row 2 and row 4, 16 and 18 as the stitches show
3. purl 4 (Slip 4 stitches on a utility needle in front of the work, purl 2, knit 2 from utility needle) purl 1 (1 stitch on utility needle)

5. purl 6 (place 2 stitches on the auxiliary needle in front of the work, purl 2, knit 2 from the auxiliary needle.
6. knit 4, purl 2, knit 8.
7. purl 8, (place 2 stitches on auxiliary needle in front of work, purl 1, knit 2 from auxiliary needle)purl 3
8. k3, purl 2, knit 9.
9. purl 9, (place 2 stitches on auxiliary needle in front of work, purl 1, knit 2 from auxiliary needle) purl 2

11. 10 purl, 2 knit, 2 purl
12. k2, purl 2, knit 10.
13. purl 9 (place 1 stitch on auxiliary needle behind the work, knit 2, purl 1 from auxiliary needle)purl 2

15. purl 3, knit 1, purl 4, (place 1 stitch on auxiliary needle behind the work, knit 2 and purl 1 from auxiliary needle) purl 3
17. purl 3, (place 1 stitch on auxiliary needle in front of work, purl 1, knit 1 from auxiliary needle) purl 1 (2 stitches on auxiliary needle behind work, knit 2, purl 2 from auxiliary needle) purl 4
19. purl 4 (1 stitch on auxiliary needle behind the work, knit 2, purl 1 from auxiliary needle)purl 7
20. 3 knit, 2 purl, 4 knit
21. purl 3, (1 stitch on auxiliary needle behind work, knit 2, purl 1 from auxiliary needle)purl 8
22. 9 knit, 2 purl, 3 knit
23. purl 2 (1 stitch on auxiliary needle behind work, knit 2, purl 1 from auxiliary needle) purl 9
24. 10 knit, 2 purl, 2 knit
25. 2 purl, 2 knit, 10 purl
26. 10 knit, 2 purl, 2 knit
27. purl 2, (place 2 stitches on auxiliary needle in front of work, purl 1, knit 2 from auxiliary needle) purl 9
28. 9 knit, 2 purl, 3 knit

Repeat rows 1-8 once more.

Leaf abortion – 7 blades
Cast on 6 stitches with 1 strand of Alpaca and 1 strand of Brushed Alpaca Silk.
1. k3, yo, k1, yo, yo, k2
2. purl 6, knit 2 sts in next stitch, k1
3. k2, purl 1, purl 2, yarn over, k1, yarn over, k3
4. purl 8, knit 2 sts in next stitch, k2
5. k2, purl 2, k3, yarn over, k1, yarn over, k4
6. purl 10, 2 stitches in next stitch, knit 3
7. k2, purl 3, knit 2, purl 2, knit 5, knit 2, knit 1.
8. purl 8, knit 2 stitches in next stitch, purl 1, knit 3
9. knit 2, purl 1, knit 1, purl 2, knit 2 twisted together, knit 3, knit 2 together, knit 1.
10. purl 6, knit 2 sts in next stitch, k1, purl 1, knit 3.
11. knit 2, purl 1, knit 1, purl 3, knit 2 twisted together, knit 1, knit 2 together, knit 1.
12. purl 4, knit 2 sts in next stitch, k2, purl 1, knit 3.
13. k2, purl 1, k1, purl 1, purl 4, slip a stitch, knit 2 together, slip the slipped stitch over.k1.
14. Purl 2 together, bind off 3 sts, knit 1, purl 1, knit 3.
Repeat these 14 rows for each leaf to be used.

Pick up 70 stitches along the edge of the leaf border and knit one row and knit it together with your shawl as follows.
Place the row with the leaf border in front of the row with the shawl and knit a stitch from the border together with a stitch from the shawl all the way through, ending up with 70 stitches.

16 rows in stockinette stitch.
Now make the twin leaf pattern as follows:
K1, k2tog, k11, chart x2, k11, k2tog, k1.
In total, you need to make the diagram 4 times.

Twin leaves:
K1, k2tog, 11 stockinette, twin leaves x2, 11 stockinette, k2tog, k1. A great way to help is to place stitch markers before and after the twin leaves to make sure you start in the same place every time.
1. *Purl 1, knit 4, knit 3 together, yarn over, knit 1, yarn over, purl 1, yarn over, knit 1, yarn over, slip 1 stitch, knit 2 together and slip the slipped stitch over knit 4, purl 1* repeat 1 more time
Knit 1, purl 8, knit 1, purl 8, knit 1, purl 8, knit 1
3. Purl 1, knit 2, knit 3 together, knit 1, yarn over, knit 1, yarn over, knit 1, purl 1, yarn over, knit 1, yarn over, knit 1, slip 1 stitch, knit 2 together, slip stitch, knit 2, purl 1.
5. Purl 1, knit 3 together, knit 2, yarn over, knit 1, yarn over, knit 2, purl 1, knit 2, yarn over, knit 1, yarn over, knit 2, slip 1 stitch, knit 2 together, slip stitch across, purl 1.
6. Repeat row 2
Repeat these 6 rows 6 times
Continue in stockinette stitch and work 16 rows, stopping decreases when you have 60 stitches.

Four leaf clover.
Start with k3 and finish with k4.
5 stockinette stitch, place stitch marker and start with four leaf clover pattern as follows :
1. *K1, yarn over, k2tog twisted, k5* repeat a total of 7 times, place marker and knit the last stitches
2nd and row 4 and 6 purl all stitches
3. *K1, k2tog, yarn over, k1, yarn over, k2tog twisted, k3, k2tog*.
5 as stick 1
knit 1 row
14 rows in stockinette stitch.
Leaf abortion – 6 blades
Make a new leaf vine with 6 leaves and pick up 60 stitches at the edge and knit 1 row and knit it together with the shawl so that you end up with 60 stitches again.

4 rows in stockinette stitch.

Now it’s time to knit bubbles :
Knit 5, knit 3 stitches in the same stitch, purl 3, knit 3 and slip stitches 2 and 3 over the 1st stitch so you end up with 1 stitch again.
Repeat to the end of the row, but end with knit 6.
purl 1 row
4 rows stockinette
Knit 4 rows.
Knit 14 rows in stockinette stitch.
Knit 2 rows.
6 rows seed stitch (knit 1, purl 1)
knit 1 row
4 rows stockinette
Knit 3 *K2tog, yarn over, knit 2* (repeat between the stars to the end of the row) and finish with knit 3.

Purl 1 row.
K3 *K2tog, yarn over, k2* end with k3.
purl 1 row
knit 1 row
Purl 1 row.
Knit 6 rows.
Now decrease again on every 8th row.
Knit 2 rows.
2 rows plain
NOW you need to make double seed stitch, i.e. knit 2, purl 2 and on purl rows you work the same way.
The next knit row is then the opposite, i.e. purl 2, knit 2 (remember to knit all edge stitches).
Make these 4 rows a total of 3 times.
14 rows of stockinette stitch

Leaf abortion – 5 blades
When you have 50 stitches, stop the decreases and make a 5-leaf short row.
Pick up 50 stitches at the edge and knit onto the shawl in the same way as before.
Knit 1 row.
12 rows in stockinette stitch.
Knit 4 rows.
2 rows in stockinette stitch.
Now work double seed stitch again on 12 rows.
2 rows plain
Knit 16 rows.
Start with decreases again on every 8 rows.
4 rows in stockinette stitch.
k2 *K2tog, yarn over, k6* end with k4.
purl 1 row
K3 *knit together, yo, k6* end with k3.
purl 1 row
Advance in this way until you have 6 rows of holes.
Purl 1 row.
4 rows in stockinette stitch.
Knit 2 rows.
16 rows in stockinette stitch.
Bubbles start with 4 smooth and end with 5 smooth
Bobbles: Work 5 stitches in a stitch,* turn and purl 5, turn, knit 5*, repeat a total of 2 times,
NOW you need to decrease the 5 stitches in the bubble to 1 stitch again like this. Pull the second stitch over the first, then pull the 3. Slip the 4th and 5th stitch over the first stitch and knit 5
Repeat this bubble for a total of 6 bubbles.

K3 * k2tog, yarn over* end with k3.
purl 1 row
2 rows plain
knit 2 rows
Start decreases again on every 8th row.
14 rows stockinette
Knit 4 rows.
2 rows stockinette (34 stitches)

Vine – simple
Now knit across the middle 14 sts and work rows 1 to 28 twice lengthwise

Stop decreasing when you have 24 stitches.
2 rows plain
Knit 6 rows
Knit the first 2 stitches on each row together until you have 14 stitches left and bind off all of them.

Leaf with stems for the ends of the shawl 8 pcs.

Knit 16 leaves. Needle 4, double yarn
Sew them together purl to purl, but leave a small hole at the top so you can turn them over.
Across the hole, pick up 4 stitches with double pointed needles and brown yarn (double and on needle 4) and knit ” stems
Knit 4 stitches and slip the stitches to the other end and keep knitting them like this and you will end up with a long stem. Knit until they measure approx. 9 cm.
10 single leaves in green on size 3 needles with single yarn

Blade:
Cast on 3 stitches and purl 1 row
1. k1, yo, k1, yo, yo, k1,
purl 2nd and all even rows
K3, yo, k1, yo, k2.
5. k3, yarn over, k1, yarn over, k3
7. k4, yo, k1, yo, yo, k4
9. 2 twisted knit together,7 knit, 2 knit together
11. 2 twisted knit together, knit 5, knit 2 together,
13. 2 twisted knit together, 3 knit, 2 knit together
15. 2 twisted knit together, knit 1, knit 2 together
17. Slip a loose stitch, knit 2 together and slip the loose stitch.
Break the yarn and pull the yarn through the last stitch.
14 flowers with single yarn in different colors.

Flower:
40 stitches on needle 3
5 rows stockinette, start with purl row.
Knit 5, twist the needle and continue to the end of the row
3 rows stockinette, start with purl
Change color and knit 2 and 2 stitches together.
1 purl.
Knit 2 together to end of row.
Knit 1 row, cut the yarn and pass the yarn through the remaining stitches and sew together.
