Recipe
The front and back are worked in the round up to the sleeves. On a 20 mm circular needle with 3 strands of Cloud, cast on 56 (62) stitches. Work 3 rows in rib: knit 1, purl 1. Mark the side seams with a stitch marker (MM) = 28 (31) stitches for the front and back respectively. Continue in stockinette stitch until the work measures 42 (44) cm. Bind off 2 sts on each side (= armholes). That is, 1 stitch on each side of MM = 54 (60) stitches. Let the work rest
Sleeves:
Cast on 14 (16) sts on 20 mm needles and work 3 rows of ribbing back and forth as on the back and front. Continue in stockinette stitch – but the 2 middle stitches are worked backwards in stockinette stitch all the way up. Increase 1 stitch on each side every 6th row a total of 5 times = 24 (26) stitches. When the work measures approx. 43 cm (or desired sleeve length), fasten off 1 stitch at the beginning of the next 2 rows =22 (24) stitches left. Let the work rest and knit a sleeve to match.
Raglan:
Now work the pieces together: Sleeve – front – sleeve – sleeve – back for a total of 98 (108) sts. Knit 1 row across all stitches – but remember that the 2 middle stitches on the sleeve are still worked backwards in stockinette stitch. Mark the seams between the sleeves, front and back with a stitch marker (MM). Now decrease for raglan after and before MM on every 2nd row a total of 8 (9) times. After MM, knit 2 together. Before MM, knit 2 together in garter stitch (= 8 stitches less for each raglan decrease). There are now 34 (36) stitches left on the needle. Now work 3 rows of ribbing – knit 1, purl 1. Then bind off tightly in rib.
Assembly:
Weave in the ends, sew the sleeves together and sew under the sleeve.
Have a great time
